- Is Kaletra effective against COVID-19?
Kaletra is the brand name for two anti-HIV drugs in a pill or liquid formulation: lopinavir + ritonavir. Research in 2004 showed potential benefit for those with the SARS coronavirus, but a study in the New England Journal of Medicine found it to be ineffective against COVID-19.
